Hi! I’m on a new adventure, Chicken Mom! It’s fun and rewarding so far. 4 hens 2 months old. I have extreme heat here in east Texas. 2 of the girls have red spots and dirty heads. What could this be? I need some advice. I’ve googled until I can’t. Thanks so much!

Are the reds spots red, sore, or bloody? I wouldn't worry about the dirty heads. They're probably just up to their normal chicky business!

Just looks like they have dirt on them, as for the red spots it's just them maturing.

They look OK to me, the red you're seeing is probably the combs growing. Definitely post more photos here if they have any sores or bumps.
