Hi everyone! My wife and I have been keeping chickens for a few years. We've had our ups and downs and learned alot along the way.
We moved onto a 2 acre property last year to fulfill our homestead dreams. And our chickens were the gateway to it all. They are perfect for creating and turning the compost and very helpful to reuse food scrap as well as pest control.
We have hatched our own eggs in an incubater as well as allowed one hen to raise her own babies which is very rewarding!!
Last week we helped a friend hatch their own eggs and they had a chick with SEVERE cross beak and missing its right eye. They gave it to us for free to see if we can save it. Poor baby. Researching how to help this baby is why I'm here. I've already read a few posts about others in this situation. And since my wife and I don't really have "chicken friends" I thought I would join this community.
