Hi Debbie!!! I am in the Lancaster, Ca area too!!! I just had to say hi when I saw we are neighbors. I am currently building my first coop (well hubby is) and plan to get about 5 chicken this spring. What breed of birds do you have? I worry a bit about our horrible heat here and keep going back and forth on the breeds I want.
