Hey guys,
Great forum here - my #1 hobby is Fishing but my daughter wanted to try raising Backyard chickens so I spent hours and hours reading up on this great resource you have here and figured I better try to contribute where I can. Still very new to this but the learning curve has been much easier with the help from BYC. We went to a local guy who breeds chickens and picked out the ones we liked best. We were supposed to have 2 Bantam Partridge Rocks, 2 Bantam Buff Rocks, 1 full sized Barred Rock and 2 Golden Phoenix chicks. So far the only one that seems oddly colored is one of our supposed Partridge Rocks.... We think he's a rooster, but either way he's got a white chest and nice white streaks down the back of his head, neck and upper shoulders.... His sister (hopefully) is fully decked out in awesome looking traditional partridge rock colors. I'll try to get a few better pictures when I have a moment. Right now they're still in their brooder but we'll be building a nice coop for them in the next couple of weeks................
Not to sound negative but I just tried to post a bunch of photos with my report, and spent time describing each one then when I tried to post I was told new members can't post photos.... that's very frustrating...
Cheers,
Ryan & Family
