New member from central Illinois

Hi all. We currently have 17 black star chickens. 9 hens and 8 roosters. We plan on butchering all but one of the roosters and the hens are for egg production. We haven't ever raised chickens before but we live in the country on 2 acres. We have the coop built, and a yard fenced that is approximately 2400 square feet. We are also raising rabbits for meat and have had them for over a year now so that is working out well for us. Any thoughts or ideas that will help us with chicken raising will be appreciated.
