New member from N.C. - hi, y'all!

Hi everyone! I am a new member and have three hens (aka, The Spice Girls!):

Sporty (barred rock)

Posh (Ameraucana with crooked beak)

Ginger (buff orpington)


I have had the girls for about 5 weeks now; got them from a poultry farm in VA (just over the NC border). Only Sporty (the barred rock) is laying, even though they were all three supposedly hatched on the same day (March 21) making them 29 weeks. I have read lots of posts here and am trying to be patient. But keeping hoping for the "Hooray!" It's a Two-Egg Day!" experience.

Welcome from the Pacific Northwest! Patience is a good thing, and it's kind of fun having something to look forward to. I'm still waiting on my third and final bird to lay. Her sisters have been laying for weeks and one has even gone broody already.
