Hi, I was referred to this site by a friend from another forum. I keep chickens mostly for my kids. I think having animals around them at a young age is good for development. We started with 10 rocks and 10 buffs. But about a year into it my brother gave me all his chickens. He had some Road Island Reds, Polish Crested, Aracondas, and some banties. I let our chickens free range during the day and in the coup at night to protect them from the elements and predators. So after 6 years we now have a mixture of all the breeds. I'm not sure what to call them but they are very beautiful.
