Located in Central North Carolina. My wife and I acquired our 20 acre homestead 2 years ago. We spent the first 2 years clearing and establishing our 2 acre garden areas, getting water and water lines installed on the property, and now we are beginning the planning stage of our Poultry/Quail/Rabbit housing areas for meat and eggs, plus fertilizer. I have been around poultry most of my life, but not at this scale. My goal is to have a big enough flock of chickens and quail to sustain my family's meat and egg needs, plus move some eggs at the farmers market and to neighbors for income. Looking forward to learning a lot from you guys.
