Hallo everyone,
I‘ve been reading your wonderful stories and pieces of advice for almost three years now and have finally decided to join 🤗
I live in nothern Germany (miss a few turns and you find yourself in beautiful Denmark) with my husband, our teenaged daughter, two dogs and seven chickens - and technically a horse, but he lives in a stable around the corner 🐔🐴🦮
We have had chickens for three years now and keeping them is my version of yoga, I guess 😂
The girls live in a stable of 25 square feet and have a run of roughly 700 square feet. This spring and summer I have updated their run and this gave me the idea to finally join and share some thoughts that may benefit others- just like I have benefitted from so many of yours over the years. Thank you for that and looking forward to being here 🌼😊

:frow Hi Alina, welcome as an active member on BYC.

Did you know there is a thread for Europeans called ; Peeps in Europe, a search wil get you there. Here you can join for fun or ask questions related to keeping chickens in Europe. We have different breeds, slightly different parasites and predators, and different laws and rules for pesticides and other matters.

Other question, did you use google to translate? I encountered this too in the past. The common word for a chicken house were the chickens roost in the night is coop, A stable is much larger. Stable is used in factory farming.

PS there was a delay in posting. @abpatchy even posted the link.
