Glad to hear it! So far Cookster seems pretty interested in the well-being of the ducks. Not sure if she'll be much help with the bears and mountain lions, but at least she can keep crows away!
Does Cookster look up at the sky and bark? Ours does. Hawks don't usually come down close anyway as we have an internet tower with guy wires so that keeps them up for most of our yard. I just think it is the weirdest thing when she sees one, she's looking up in the air and barking. The border collie is clueless of what's in the sky.

We have bears and our border collie stands back and barks, and the corgi runs WAY back lol. We call the dogs in though so nobody gets hurt. If they don't leave, we shoot a shotgun in the air.

No, Cookie almost never barks. But she clearly like being near the ducks and I hope that her presence would be enough to deter any would-be duck eaters. Good call on bringing the dogs in. I just hope that if we have any problem bears that I'm home to do the same!
