We moved to a home that had a pretty nice coop so I got chickens starting March 2021. There were Silver Laced Wyandottes and Ayam Cemani. Out of 16 birds, 12 turned out to be roosters...so it has been an interesting year figuring out all of this.
Currently I have 5 Wyandottes (with 1 rooster) and I kept 1 Cemani rooster back thinking I would add more but that didn't happen. Added 3 new "supposed pullets" (2 easter eggers and a Barnevelder) but the Barnevelder I think is a cockeral and so I am trying to re-home the Cemani and then probably the Barnevelder because I can't seem to get the number of hens up quick enough (and safely with quarantine and all, especially now in winter) to have more than one rooster
Every time i look online for information about whatever issue i am having, threads from this group come up so i decided to join in!
