Small free range flock in rural Ontario. Have black sex-link, barred rocks, and a couple mixed breeds. Also have pekin ducks for meat, and eggs. All raised together for over a year. Recently started Hatching ducklings and chicks using broody hens. Wish I had joined earlier to ask questions and avoid trying to hatch them out with pekin hens! have GSDs as livestock guardians, and they do an excellent job with predator control for bears, coyotes, foxes, mustelids and aerial predators.
