My wife, 4 year old son and I have been in the chicken raising game for a little over a year.

We started with 6 chicks (2 RIR, 2 Jersey Giants, Dark Brahma and a Golden Wyandate (sp?) and last week we picked up another batch of 10 chicks (3 Americauna's, 3 Australorp's, Blue Cochin, Buff Orphington, Buff Brahma and a Speckled Sussex).

It's been a learning experience to say the least, but one that we're all enjoying immensely.

I've been a lurker for the last year and decided to formalize my relationship with the BYC site. I look forward to learning and sharing many adventures.
