Hi everyone!! I'm from north wester Pa region, I just started raising chicks, started with 6 but my german shephard pup thought they were toys and we lost one :-(, so down to 5 pullets.. I raised ducks last year, currently have 2 dogs, 1 cat, and my husband wants to get turkeys and pigs in the future, ha! we have ticks really bad around here thus the reason i got some chicks, hopin they'll help but eating them, ha, my husband's gonna build me a coop for them aswell.. can't wait!

Actually people on here claim that guineas are tick eating machines - they love them. Also they are a great alert system and make a racket when something upsets them
