New member from Pinckney MI

Hi all, just joined today. I am the former Village President of the Village of Pinckney (Michigan) and am responsible for researching and supporting the ultimately successful backyard chicken ordinance here.

I have 4 chickens (the ordinance limit) in a tractor coop (ordered on Amazon). One Buff Orpington, one Light Brahma, and two Aracaunas. Got them as chicks at the local feed store around Easter, looking forward to first eggs sometime in August I am guessing.

I have always wanted chickens, but this is my first time owning any.

Thanks for all the great threads here. I can't imagine not finding an answer to pretty much anything.
