My name is Laurie and I am a chickenholic. I have RIR, Buff Orp, Blk Jersey giant, spangler splash, black silkie, americauna, and white leghorns. I also have 2 chick mutts.
Sounds like I have a lot, but I don't -- just like to watch them. Love how they run up to the gate to greet me to see what treaties I have brought.
I was referred to this group by Deb, who is a magnificent human being and a wonderful lady. However, Initially, I made a mistake in signing into Backyard Chickens in Yahoo Groups. What a Mistake -- has nothing but porno. Deb steered me here and what a bunch of info this site has

Hello Laurie!!!

Chickens are so fun! Today I hung out with them using my daughters fishing pole and bobber (no hook lol) I would cast and reel and they would run around chasing it, such a hoot!
