Hi, my husband and I have been living on our small hobby farm for 5 years now. I love raising chickens for the benefits to my garden, for the eggs, for the entertainment, but mostly I consider them great pets!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I got my first 6 chickens in June of 2016, lost one in March of this year and then added 5 more for a total of 10 now.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 10
(3) What breeds do you have? Buff Orpington, Black Jersey Giant, Ameraucauna, Silver Lace and Golden Lace Wyandottes, Cuckoo Maran, White Copper Maran, Welsummer, Barnvelder

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Gardening, concerts, movies, traveling
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. We have no human children, so our kids include a dog, a cat, and our chickens. I am fortunate to work from home so I can spend a lot of time at our little piece of paradise in the country.
