Hello to all BYC members, we have been reading for some time, but just registered. We have 50 or so (kinda lost track!) adult ducks, some ducklings and our first 4 goslings. A Trip to TSC some time ago started our addiction with ducks with a group of 16 Mallards. Since then we have mail ordered a couple new batches for the brooder, and a couple of groups that have been adopted that needed a new home. Breeds that we have now are Mallards, Pekins, Rouens, Cayuga, Khackis, Black Runners, and Swedish. In the garage brooder/pen we have a group of 5-6 week old batch of Crested ducks of different varieties from Ideal and 4 Sebastopol goslings from metzer. We are new to Geese but the sebbies are very friendy, and very interactive with you, unlike the ducks who run unless you have food or greens for them to eat. We have out grown our original pen and coop this spring so we are building a new duck barn or duck palace as my wife says. The barn is 12 x 24 with separate housing for the boys and girls. (Have not broke the news to the boys yet as they will not be happy, but I don't think the girls will mind at all!) We also have 4 Great Danes, 1 Yellow Lab, 2 Pugs, and 2 Cats!
