Hi, everyone!
My name is Amy and I live in Northern Vermont. We have 4 backyard hens, but plan on adding a few more next spring/summer. Right now we have a very small coop/run, but we're having a larger one being built. I know my girls will be very happy about that. Their names are: Scramble (Laced Wyandotte), Poach (a mix of Rhode Island Red and something else we're not sure about), Fry-fry (Welsummer), and Omelette (Rhode Island Red).
The only other animal we have is a Maltese dog named Churchill. His brother Winston passed away a few years ago, so we're thinking about getting another one to keep him company. He's 13 years old, and is showing a little age, but still likes to play like a young boy.
I'm an author and my husband is in the insurance business. We love living in Vermont. The lifestyle here is simple and that's the way we like it. We love winters more than summer, but we also enjoy growing a garden, so summer definitely has its place in our heart. And, of course, autumn is spectacular in Vermont, so living here during that time of year is amazing!
