Hi fellow chicken lovers. My name is Patty. I live is SE Wisconsin with my husband, a dog, a cat and 9 chickens. We have had chickens for 5 years now and we are constantly learning new things we like to share. I am looking forward to learning from your experiences and stories too.
Our egg laying flock consists of 2 Rhode Island Reds, 2 White Brahmas, 1 Black Austrolop. We just bought a few experimental breeds this spring (picked from the chick bin at Farm and Fleet) they are 1 Brown Leghorn, 1 Cinnamon, 1 Polish Rooster and a white chicken of questionable background that was not a meat chicken.
I'm sorry to say that we have to find a home for the Polish Rooster because he my attract too much attention and we are not zoned agricultural. Don't want to upset the neighbors donchaknow. LOL.

Hey there! I am from SW Wisconsin. Just got an 8-9 month old flock of hens, rooster (who are now in the freezer), and 5 ducks. We also have 5 dogs who are actually behaving themselves around the chicken run. I just joined as well.
 
Welcome to BYC, Patty. Glad you decided to join our flock. I'm sorry you had to get rid of your Polish rooster, but that's definitely better than having problems with your neighbors.
