Hello everyone, I am thrilled to be a member of BYC. I already can see the wonderful beauty of the group and am excited to learn new things and meet new potential fowl friends. My best friend I met because of chickens. I was in tractor supply buying some bantam chicks and was asked by my friends daughter if I could help her with her hatching problems. She had an incubator but never was able to get them to hatch. Soooooo, we talked first time on the phone I explained the problem. She put 98 eggs in her incubator and hatched 82 total chicks we have been besties ever since. I used to raise standard size chickens but decided I want to raise chickens that are on the endangered list to keep the breed from extinction. I taught my neighbor about chickens and now she has a beautiful flock free ranging on her place. So thank you all for listening to me and have a wonderful day
