Just a quick hello. I am a new member to byc. I bought 4 dozen eggs 3 weeks ago. There were 4 different breeds in the 4 dozen with the majority being black copper marans. The other 3 breeds are Indian River, black laced Wyandotte's, and new Hampshire. Tomorrow will be the 21st day in the incubator. I had 3 hatch today. I have 1 Indian River hen chick and 2 new Hampshire rooster chicks.
I have a 10 year old daughter that wants to show chickens in our local county fair, so today I bought a full grown trio of golden polish and also bought 2 dozen welsummer fertile eggs to put into my other incubator to hatch for her to raise. I am looking forward to learning as much as possible from here as I am still really new to this hatching eggs.
