Greetings to All
I am very new to BYC purchased six beauties in early April of this year and feverishly began to construct a coop. Did I mention I fell totally in love? I am the broody momma
They are now 12 weeks old.
I have already purchased 2 more that are 5 weeks old. Learning all about that chicken math...
My original six were
2 Barred Rock pullets
2 Buff Orpington pullets
1 Brown Isa pullet
1 Straight run EE
that's right, though we named our straight run Cleo for the beautiful lined eyes and wishful positive thinking ... turned out to be
a gorgeous roo.
My 2 additional chicken are
1 Lavender Orpington pullet
1 Blue Easter Egger that's what I was told at purchase. This pullet has a very unique look.
I have researched and been told by a breeder she looks like a Fibro EE.
My aunt had chickens and all types of fowl when I was growing up and as I spent as much time as I could with her I do have the basics down.
I love gardening, reading, fishing, refurbishing wood furniture and diy projects.
I'm a retired RN, married mom of 4 adult children. In addition to my baby raptors I am also the proud mom of
1 German Boxer
1 Mini Schnauzer
1 Chihuahua/Cocker spaniel
I found this site as I surfed for all things fowl related and decided to join to learn more about my breeds and to be a better chicken momma.
