Yep, New to chickens! We got our first 3 chick's in the middle of February.

By the end of February, we've grown to 9 chicks.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?

It's been so rewarding to watch them grow up and develop their own little personality. Not only are they a great addition to our family, they will soon provide nourishment and support to our family.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

Just got my own home so there's all the hobbies you can think of that come with a new home! Decorating, gardening, building a chicken coop and getting chick's, and just overall making this house a home! I also enjoy canning and preserving. I may also look into becoming a certified cottage and selling some produce, jams, jerkey.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

Our home is shared with 4 cats, 1 dog, 1 eastern newt, and 9 chicks. We also love our wild friends outside! The humming birds are among our favorite. We also get some daily lovings from the neighborhood pets which we don't mind. I'm a Nurse by trade. However, I have not accepted a position in our new location as I am LOVING what seems to be turning into a welcomed homestead.
