I don't know if I'm making these posts and threads correctly but here goes.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes I am new. I got 8 baby chicks in late April.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
7. Sadly one got killed yesterday.

(3) What breeds do you have?
All dominiques. I love them
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They are way more fun and entertaining than I expected. I like that they also are laying a lot of eggs as many as one a day. One girl even lays two a day on occasion. I also appreciate the extra compost and that they eat insects.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I run a small organic CSA part time and work full time.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D
I found you through an online search last year. This had been an extremely useful site I joined when I needed specific help for my situation.

:frow Welcome from New Orleans! I am so glad you joined. As you already know we have lots of knowledgable people who are more than willing to help if they can and point you in the right direction if they can't. Glad to know you.
You may want to add what area you live in, it helps to answer questions sometimes.
