Hello all I just wanted to introduce myself. I am Alethea Crocker from Cumby, Texas (NE Texas-close to Dallas) I am 50 years old and have only had chickens about four or five years. I have a total of 31. I have Orpingtons, Marans, EE and Ameraucana. I have had other breeds in the past. I have five dogs (mostly chichuahua rescues), four fish tanks and I love canning, gardening, reading my Bible and genealogy. oh and listening to my dad tell me about all the artifacts he finds in the rivers here. I am interested in learning a more about genetics (if i can grasp it). I have read a lot but some of it just goes over my head. I try to absorb what I can. I have incubated eggs and raised chicks myself and I have also let momma hen do it which was way easier on me and I loved watching her teach them things. Hoping to learn more from the community and help where I can. Also I have a blue/split to chocolate rooster which I will be attempting to breed. lol

Hiya, Alethea, and welcome to BYC! :frow

Your blue split to chocolate Orpington:

Blue split Chocolate x Splash = Mauve pullets, Chocolate Splash pullets, Blue pullets, Splash pullets, Splash cockerels, Blue cockerels, Blue split Chocolate cockerels, and Splash split Chocolate cockerels

Blue split Chocolate x Blue = Mauve pullets, Chocolate pullets, Chocolate Splash pullets, Blue pullets, Splash pullets, Black pullets, Blue cockerels, Splash cockerels, Black cockerels, Blue split Chocolate cockerels, Splash split Chocolate cockerels, and Black split Chocolate cockerels

Blue split Chocolate x Chocolate Splash = Mauve pullets, Chocolate Splash pullets, Blue pullets, Splash pullets, Mauve cockerels, Chocolate Splash cockerels, Blue split Chocolate cockerels, and Splash split Chocolate cockerels

That's from this site. I use this for some of the color genetics for my silkie breeding:

Also, this is still Greek to me most of the time, but many who do creative breeding use it. https://kippenjungle.nl/chickencalculator.html

Good luck! Make yourself at home here!
