Hi all,
I'm so excited to join a forum. I have had my little flock for a couple of years and learned some things the hard way. Hopefully, my new friends will make this experience so much more enjoyable.

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

Keeping chickens is a never ending school of learning. Lots of us got baptized by fire when first getting into chickens. I know I did. LOL But this IS the place for more fun and learning!

Make yourself at home here and if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Welcome to our flock!

I'm glad you joined us.

What kind of chickens do you have? Please feel free to ask any questions you may have- we're all here to help in any way we can!

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to our flock. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.

We started with about 14 a couple of years ago. For some reason, every few months, we have an unexplained death. Usually stop eating, green poop and they die. I've brought the last two inside before it went that far to try to intervene with antibiotics and baby food. Hens still died. Not sure if they were inferior, born with some kind of disease or what happened. No sign of trauma.

Anyway, we have a trio of Mille fleur d'ucla. A bard rock, buff orpington, americauna, australorp, and a couple of roosters that we didn't plan on having. Our flock is down to 9. Just ordered 6 more to be picked up at 12 weeks. Hopefully, we will get all hens. Not sure 12 weeks is long enough to determine for sure though.

Anyone else out there in Alpharetta?
