New Member in East Texas

Hi All!

I am new to chickens(3 months) and new to BYC. I have already gotten some great info from the site.

I have been married to the same great guy for 20 years, mom to an insane yellow lab, a bladder control challenged geriatric doxie, a revolving door English Setter(I want in-I want out), 7 hens(BR, BA and PR) and 3 roos(WLH)-all of whom I adore!

I am a "retired"(read unemployed) paralegal and wannabe chicken farmer and live on the edge of the Big Thicket in East Texas.

There are some very savvy folks on here and I'm sure this will be my go-to source for all things chicken!
