New Member in Eastern NC

Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone! We are a family of five living near the "crystal coast" of NC. We have been contemplating raising our own chickens for some time, but have only recently begun to do our research on it. I know I am excited to embarq on this new adventure, as well as be able to teach my three children (ages 14, 10, and 8) a little more about responsibilty and self-sufficiency. For the short time I have been on this website so far I really enjoy it and it seems to be full of information and knowledgeable people. I look forward to chatting with you all in the future!
