Hi. I am in the Chattanooga, TN area, just across the line in Georgia. We got six one-month old chickens in March and are keeping them in our backyard. We got the chickens just because we thought it would be good to be producing some of our own protein (the eggs-- we don't ever plan to eat the chickens). We didn't know when we got started that they were so adorable and we would get attached to them. Glad to find a place where I can come and ask questions. I had never been around chickens before this.
