It all started when a family member brought me a chicken they found abandoned in the woods, because I live on 5 acres (lol), I guess they thought land was all that was needed. She was a beautiful Bantam, and sadly was killed by a predator before I could get proper housing. I fell in love and knew I wanted more.
We now have 6 Chickens, 3 americauna, 3 Bantam about 6 months old. 1 Mallard duck that was found at work in the rafters on a pallet with 4 damaged eggs, He was only a few days old when we found him, now 6 months also. we have 2- 10 week old Border collies, a 16 year old rat terrior, and just lost our 14 year rat terrior to breast cancer last week.

How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? looking for information about Mallard ducks.
