Hello all!
I am excited to join this group and look forward to learning from your experiences. I started my first flock this past spring (2021) with 15 chicks hatched in kindergarten classes at my school. (So I guess you could say they have at least somewhat of an education.)
What surprised me most was how similar chicken care/training is to teaching. It takes planning, following routines daily, and knowing your chickens individual personalities do you can tell if they are doing well or not. Some catch on quick, others need extra guidance, patience and their poopy butt cleaned. But ive enjoyed learning as I go and I promise referenced this forum a lot over this past year. Please know your posts helped me and I look forward to learning more.
