Hello! My husband and I first got chickens in October after we moved into our house and love them! We also got 3 Ancona ducklings in early March. Currently we have 1 rooster, 1 cockerel, 5 laying hens, 4 pullets, 16 chicks, and of course the 3 ducklings. We have blue, buff, and black orpingtons, sebrights, easter eggers, and a RIR along with several backyard mixes.
I love each bird’s different personality and of course the eggs lol. We also have a dog and 2 cats who are absolutely fascinated with all the birds. I’ve read posts on BYC for a while before whenever I had a question about my birds but just decided to join now to ask my own questions.
