New member intro

Hi - often read this forum but only recently got our first 4 young hens in south/central US. Looking forward to learning from all the experienced chicken owners here! Thanks for letting me join!

Thank you all so much. We have a small flock of 4 hens. We’re limited where we live. Got them young at about 6 months old; they were raised and socialized together. Didn’t go thru the hatching/chick stage. All 4 hens are gradually laying 1x egg daily though its winter and they’re a bit inconsistent. Was recently looking for advice to prevent a muddy outdoor run and came to participate in this thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/which-sand-for-run.1472606/
