Hi, my name is Karen, I'm 25 years old.
1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I've had chickens for about 10 years; since I was a child. During the past few years I have taken more interest in them.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
In total 17.
(3) What breeds do you have?
5 Speckled Sussex, 1 Black Jersey Giant, 3 blue mixed breed, 3 buff orpingtons, 2 Rhode Island reds, and 3 mixed breed chicks.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love watching them putter around doing their chicken things and seeing them happy gives me joy.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I like hiking, reading and playing video games.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I live with my husband and my parents. We have 3 cats and 3 dogs. I am going to University for Nursing.

I often search chicken questions I have and can usually find my answer on this website or another, but I wanted to have the opportunity to connect with more chicken lovers.
