(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I’ve had chickens for 9 months, got my first ducklings 4 weeks ago
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
1 chicken (stray dogs got into the coop last fall
) 4 ducks, planning to get more of both
(3) What breeds do you have?
ISA brown hen, 4 Pekin ducks
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Access to eggs and eventually meat of which I know haven’t been fed gross stuff or chemicals, can be sure weren’t abused, and that I have a connection to Beyond purchasing pre-processed at the store. I want to make sure I’m properly grateful for my food and not to be so detached from the animals I eat
