1. My chickens are about 7 months old, and 5 months old. They’re the only ones I’ve had, so yes, I’m fairly new to chickens.
2.At the moment I have 30 chickens, 4 of which are roosters and the other 26 are obviously hens.
3.To be completely honest I’m not entirely sure but I’m aware of the Australorps, Leghorns, Green Queens, Faverolles, Ameraucanas, Legbars, and the Blue-Laced Barnvelders.
4.They’re like our family’s pets, providing happiness and entertainment when around them, another good thing is that they provide lots of eggs as well.
5.Gardening and Mycology.
6.We’re farmers, we grow organic gourmet mushrooms and micrgreens.
7.I found BYC while searching for online help forums for chickens, I’ve known about it only today and no longer than that. I joined because I need help with my Leghorn hen (thread can be found here if anyone reading this would like to try to help me with it).
