Hello everybody,

After years of using BackYard Chickens as a resource for my bird raising, I have finally decided to be a part of the fun.

I have had various types of poultry in the last 12 years, and currently have three Welsummer hens, a trio of Buff ducks, seven Mallards, and a single Dutch Hookbill drake. Over the twelve years I have had Buff and Embden geese, multiple breeds of chickens, Silver Appleyard and Hookbill ducks, and even some quail. Also at home, is a large two and half Newfoundland, an inside cat and two outside cats, and four parakeets which reside in my room.

I have always had a passion for birds, stemming from my love of animals. In middle school and high school I showed at my local county fair, and the NW Missouri State Fair. I am a supporter of the Livestock Conservancy, and love working to preserve traditional and historic heritage birds.

As of now, I am a senior in university, finishing a double major of Business Administration and International Studies, with a minor in Ag Business.

I look forward to participating in the forums and covering with fellow poultry enthusiasts!
