Hello- I am new to raising chickens and have only been raising them since January 2023. My wife and I have a desire to be more involved with the food we eat and I opted to raise broilers and broad breasted turkeys. Totally new experience for me, and I have enjoyed the journey. I often have questions about things I’m observing in my flocks and have found this forum to be very helpful. From time in the brooder, to processing, lots of information out there.
I plan on eventually raising laying hens which can be used to self-sustain chicken flocks, while also planning on having a sustainable meat supply.
