Hello friends
I guess I missed the introduction before my first post about the heat, so here goes.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I had a couple of hens years ago, but never had chicks. I can't believe how cute they are and how addictive to watch.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I got 4 new chicks the first of June.
(3) What breeds do you have?
A Buff Orpington "Pumpkin" whose name I borrowed from your site and is the sweetest. A Barred Rock "Penelope" who is the brat of the bunch. A Rhode Island Red "Bella" who is the smartest. A Silver Ameraucana "Alice" who is a very strange bird. She turns in circles like she's looking for her mama - I hope she's OK. And she never gets to the worm bits in time.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Found you guys on Google. I'm so happy because I'm sure my friends don't understand my chicken obsession and I bet you will.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Cooking, gardening, reading, knitting, crochet, working out at the gym 4 mornings a week.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have 1 son, 2 wonderful grandchildren and my DH who built my really cute and functional coop/run.
