Hi from Northern Michigan! My daughter got me into the chicken fun about 12 years ago when ‘she’ saw baby chicks at the feed store & fell in love. Her way of sneaking them home was using them as a ‘Mother’s Day’ gift to suck me in lol & now I can’t picture life without them
I have 23 left, sadly we had a bad summer dealing with Coyotes, 2 Hawks & a juvenile Eagle losing 9 of my gals & a silky roo. Saddest summer of our life. My flock consists of Silkies, Australorps,Eggers,RIR,New hampshire,Leghorn Bantams,Gold laced bantams,Silver laced Wyandotte’s & Isa’s. They are my loves! So sweet & wow they have such unbelievable personality’s! & such comedians they are,I swear they’re like a skit from S.N.L lol! I’ve come across this site numerous times reading info on certain subjects. I’ve never really had to deal with any illnesses until now so my brother-in-law told me to join here for help bc he’s received a lot of helpful info from here, so here I am
