I've had chickens for the last couple years and this forum has been my go-to with any questions I may have. Previously I shared a flock with a roommate, but recently have my own place and my own flock. Currently, I have a Cuckoo Marans, an Easter Egger, and I just picked up a gorgeous new Easter Egger that I may need to return since I have a strong suspicion that my new baby is a boy. I'm kinda bummed cause he's really pretty and very sweet. I live in the Oak Cliff neighborhood where I know at least one neighbor already has a rooster that's pretty quiet and no one seems to mind. I could probably try keeping him without getting in trouble, but I'm not really sure I want to risk him being loud and having to get rid of him. Thankfully, I have the option of returning it next week if I can confirm it's a cockerel.
Below are a few pics of my girls and my new baby.

This is Donna my Easter Egger Pullet. Her name was Madonna, but I shortened it to Donna after I lost her friend Gaga. She is 3 months old and hasn't started laying yet.

This is Kitty, my Cuckoo Marans. She is about 7 months and lays dark brown eggs.

This is my new baby I was going to name Jackie, but I have a feeling Jack is more appropriate.

He seems to have a very masculine comb.

And what looks like the beginnings of spur growth.

I'm looking for confirmation that this is a cockerel, before I make a fuss about returning him, but I'm really hoping someone will tell me I don't know what I'm talking about.

Glad you joined us! You got some beautiful birds

Yup, looks suspiciously like a cockerel comb to me. One single row of "peas" down the middle is often a girl, triple row is usually a boy.

Welcome to BYC!
