Hello!
I’m new to keeping birds. I’ve got 16 French guineas and 5 chickens. They are all coming up on 4 weeks old.
I started them in separate cages but now they are all together and get along….so far.
I built a chicken tractor and put it in our garage.
We have an old coop with a huge run but it’s drafty and don’t think it can take Idaho winters. So I’m working on that before they make the move outside.

I’ve gleaned a lot of great info from searching this site! It’s why I have an air filter near the pen, and how I knew how to clean out a Guinea’s nose that was full of dust.
Thanks!!!!

Welcome to BYC. I love your french guineas. It's making me want to get some 😂

The issue with housing them together with chickens usually comes at around a year old when mating season starts. So maybe once they're done in the brooder you can have separate coops for them.

Hello hysop, thanks For the info. Most of the guineas are going to be meat birds 😬. I hope a few female guineas can coexist peacefully with chickens 🤞
