My wife joined, so I decided to join just for fun. I like a good web forum.

I spent all day today working on our Chicken Mansion.

The coop will be enclosed on the right side. I'll be covering the entire thing in hardware cloth before putting on siding, so raccoons can't get through. Metal roof on top, except for the 1/3rd to the very left side. We have neighbors that raise german shepards so I wanted to enclose this as much as reasonably possible to keep the stress down on the birds, those stupid dogs bark at anything that moves, its so aggravating I can't walk out in my backyard without getting barked at and then they start yelling at the stupid dogs to shut up.

I like taking things apart, too! I once got grounded through the doorknob hole to our garage because I took the doorknob apart, but then didn't get it back together in time before my parents got home! 😆

Your coop is looking fantastic!

Welcome to BackYard Chickens!

Thanks! My wife posted more of the chicken mansion here -
https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/building-my-first-coop-run.1645492

It has 72 sqft of open floor space and 6 feet vertical.

I'm gonna go for a hike out in the state wildlife area and look for some neat looking branches to put in for roosts so they can explore the whole space.
