New member/ North Florida

Hi all, I am new to this forum, but I have been raising laying hens for three years. I have some older RIR's, 6 month old RIR / Barred Rock crosses, 6 Aracuanas & 24 Buff Orpingtons. I raise my new chicks in a brood cage that I made with 1/2 inch PVC & chicken wire. I have fenced in a large area for them to "free range" because we have hawks in the area. Chickens are more fun to watch as they graze than I had thought & what a great source of organic protein.
