1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Technically, 6 years ago on our honeymoon in Key west a chick may have followed us home
It ended up being a rooster, and we couldnt keep him where we lived so we found a good home for him where he decided he was a turkey. Moved to Upstate New York a few years ago and started off with 11 Americana chickens.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
At this moment, 37 chickens, 4 guinea fowl, and 10 eggs currently hatching.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Americana, Black copper Marans, Swedish flower, Polish, Buff laced Brahma, Crested cream leg bar, Bielefelder, and a bunch of polish crosses.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
There personalities, how excited they get about treats, and all the awesome egg colors we get.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening, wood refinishing
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Im married to a wonder husband that shares my chicken obsession, we have 2 cats, 2 dogs, and a red ear slider
