Just found this web site today and had to get into the fun!! I have a huge Rooster who was given to me by a friend who couldn't stand his 3:00am wakeup call anymore, and 3 little red hens who lay between 2-3 eggs a day!!
The Rooster was originally name El Dorado but is now Taliban. He really keeps the girls in line.
I have 50 more Rhode Island Reds ordered for March 12, 09 and my husband is building me a chicken house. I love these chickens sure wish I had known about them before!!
