Welcome Kinzkey. The first thing I will advise you is you'll want to have your set up easy to maintain, which, IMO, leaves out most prefab coops. A walk in coop and run really saves your back! If you can swing it, a small shed and attached secure run, with a roof and apron, will allow you to leave the pop door open and you can leave food and water in the run so you don't have to get out there at the crack of dawn. A poop tray under the roost makes cleaning easier. As far as the heat goes, full dark shade and the ability to dig down in dirt goes a long way towards keeping them cool. I also use a mister system in my run when we get to triple digits. I have also brought them in my house, in a pop up dog pen when it's really hot. One thing, you mention gardening with them, you really don't want them in your garden, what they don't eat they'll dig up.
