Hello. I finally joined the forum. I have been reading posts and articles on this site for a couple of years now and finally officially joined. Well, My husband and I actually went to buy some fencing and other items from a very nice couple a few days ago and they had chicks. She is a member of Backyard chickens and after talking for a while I said that I would join when I got home... so here I am. Thank you Bridget!
I have RIR's and Austrlorps. I had a few other breeds but decided to stick with these 2 for now. Seen your homemade incubaotrs and decided to make one myself. My husband did have to help a little, but we just hatched our first bunch of chicks this past week!!! We learned just about everything on raising chickens on this forum and are glad to be a part of it now. Looking forward to getting to know everyone a little bit.
