I first got my chickens last June...almost a year now! This is my first time keeping chickens.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? and (3) What breeds do you have?
I have 3: Sarah (RIR), Bessie (Barred Rock), and Ella (Aracauna)

Word of mouth and/or google search. I can't remember now!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I am a gardener, cook, knitter, cyclist, hiker, blogger, with occasional forays into sewing, cross-stitch, photography, and a lot of reading.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a partner and 2 kids...ages 18 and 20. Just about to have an "empty nest." I work in higher education and I am also a graduate student working on a doctoral degree. I have 2 cats and 1 dog and am passionate about trying to live as sustainable a lifestyle as possible.
